WHO ARE WE?

THE AFRICAN STUDENTS ASSOCIATION WAS FOUNDED IN 1984 BY A GROUP OF NIGERIAN GRADUATE STUDENTS AT TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY AND HAS MATURED INTO A LEADING CULTURAL ORGANIZATION ON CAMPUS. ASA IS CLOSELY AFFILIATED WITH OTHER AFRICAN AND BLACK STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS IN TEXAS A&M AND COLLEGES ACROSS THE NATION. THIS YEAR’S EXECUTIVE TEAM HAS A FLAMING SPIRIT, DEDICATION AND THE ENTHUSIASM TO ELEVATE ASA TO GREAT HEIGHTS.

THE AFRICAN STUDENTS ASSOCIATION (ASA) AT TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY IS A STUDENT-RUN SOCIO-CULTURAL ORGANIZATION. ASA STRIVES TO FOSTER A CULTURALLY DIVERSE ENVIRONMENT AND INCREASE UNITY AMONG ALL STUDENTS.
